Astrology Forecast for May, 2012 

We hit the ground running in this merry, merry month of May! You may remember the New Moon that ushered in Taurus the Bull, Saturday, April 21. Since that time and right up to the Solar Eclipse on the 20^th of this month we are in the grip of our Mother Earth, our desire to not only physically survive, but to thrive in a physical world full of rich diversity, sensuous pleasure, and unlimited possible avenues to manifest our potential. Along with the Sun moving through Taurus, Jupiter, Black Moon Lilith, Venus, and Mercury have joined in the mix to emphasize the need to “ground”, get “real”; practical, and hopefully not too pedantic, dogmatic, or narrow while doing so.

The bull has long been a symbol of fertility through the ages, and in olden times the pagans would celebrate the Beltane festival during the sign of Taurus, a festival to celebrate the fertility of our mother earth, all of nature, including the animals and, of course, ourselves and our bodies’ ability to birth the “new”. These festivals were also a time of connecting with the earthly spirit forces and asking for their gracious cooperation in helping to bring forth an abundant future harvest. This time is therefore associated with the sowing of the seed that will later blossom forth bringing sustenance, stability, and physical security. It is a time in the northern hemisphere when spring fever strikes, bringing lovers together naturally following the call of their instincts for passionate play.

Well, these are not “olden times,” and while our physical bodies may feel the natural pull to release and recreate, we have created social, religious, and cultural conditions that do not support the natural flow and expression of these natural instincts. In fact, much of “civilized” societies have more or less conditioned us to ignore, suppress, or feel guilt and shame in regard to fulfilling our natural impulses with regard to sexual, monetary, and other physical “indulgences”. In many ways this has served to cut us off from our greatest source of self-empowerment, self-worth, serenity, contentment, and pleasure.

The month of May, as seen in the context of the entire year of 2012 will be noted as a month of releasing the old programs that have created the split between spirit and matter, the old paradigm of antagonism between men (creative light beings) and women (earthly dark beings) going back to Eve (who listened to Lilith the serpent) tempting Adam with the apple. These past few months have seen the building up of tension, leading to inner realization of how we undermine our relationships and ourselves with shadow projections of unfulfilled desires, wants, and needs. We have been purging our system of old conditioning that says we don’t deserve to have what we want, say what we need, and allow ourselves to receive without feeling selfish.

This month brings through some of the final clearing along these lines. We will have the opportunity to realign ourselves with our bodies first of all. As we listen to, acknowledge, honor, and act from a place of self-acceptance, power, and sense of deserving, we will expand our understanding of just WHO we really are and what we are REALLY capable of! It is time for us to step into our power as spiritual/physical gods/goddesses and this has already begun through the early months of this year. We all have been feeling stripped of our old sense of self, old identity as “not good enough” or “not ready.”   This has occurred through having to face how this limited self-understanding is destroying our most prized and beloved relationships, love, and support.

So while Mars continues through Virgo, analyzing and cutting out the old crap, Jupiter and the Sun will be sowing new seeds deep within our consciousness that will come to fruition through the remainder of this year. So through the 20^th of this month the deconditioning and purging of the old ways, habits, and patterns will continue. Issues will keep coming up between us and our loved ones urging us to look at ourselves deeper and deeper and to get rid of the beliefs, fears, and shadows that weren’t “us” to begin with, but now can absolutely no longer be tolerated if we are to ascend to new heights of awareness.

Then comes the south node Solar Eclipse on the 20^th, joined with Mercury, Black Moon Lilith, and Jupiter moving toward a square with Neptune. This is indicative of the major releasing in preparation for the new seeding occurring at this time. The only danger perhaps is the Lilith tendency to withdraw and withhold. Feeling threatened by others perceived judgments we may just want to “stay the same” and run away. Lilith in Taurus can withhold her favors in a manipulative attempt to get her needs met first (both men and women have Lilith). Aware of this tendency based upon there not being enough, we can consciously remain open, remain present, and actually CHANGE ourselves (something the Bull can take some time to do!).

The pace will lighten up and quicken after the Eclipse with Gemini, the shape-shifter, stepping into the fore. Here is where we take our new found values, needs and revelations and share them with each other and the larger community. We begin rebuilding a new sense of Self Identity free of the old values and shackles of ages/beliefs gone by. If we have actually passed some of the tests offered us in the past few months and sincerely desired to open our HeartSelf to new, powerful horizons we will feel more passionate energy coursing through us leading us to new creative heights of expression.

As the Sun, Mercury, and Moon’s south node all join to square Neptune in Pisces, the major challenge just may be to keep up the ACTIVE momentum and not flit off too far into building more air castles in the sky with our newfound power! The evolutionary intention here is to stay “in it,” a part of it, FEELING the power within so as to no longer be led around like bull’s with rings in our nose by some external authority robbing us of our inherent right as humans to create lives that we love. To not bounce back into our heads which are more easily influenced and brain washed with hair-brained notions of what others may wish us to believe will fulfill us (when actually fulfilling them). As we stay in touch with our bodies/ourselves we will garner the necessary energy to remove the external obstructions to complete Self-expression.

It can help to keep our eye on the fruits and rewards of our efforts while stripping ourselves of the old ways and wondering just what it is all for/leading to! The more we empty ourselves now, the more room we create for a renewed, amazing “reprogrammed self” to come in and steer these egos to new fresh horizons! It won’t be long until we are looking back (6 months or so) at those rushing emotional rapids we went through to arrive at the pristine pools of self-reflection.   May you paddle more than yourselves as you make your way down the stream of life this month toward amazing new heights of Self Revelation!

Astrology Forecast for March, April, and May 2012:

“We’re captive on a merry-go-round of time…..”

The months of March, April and May will feel much like this merry-go-round of time is picking up speed by the day! If you recall the experience, it becomes more challenging (and more exciting for some) to hold on the faster the merry-go-round spins! In addition to the centrifugal force throwing us away from the center we may also imagine the horses on the merry-go-round that go up and down and up and down….. perhaps fun for the kids but this may not feel like so much fun when it comes to your bank account, relationships, and future ambitions. Just what is that “something” that is creating, maintaining, and increasing the speed, why, and what will be the result(s).

Astrology sees this “something” as a “Collective, Universal Intelligence” (CUI), none other than God, Source, Creator, or one of a thousand other names. This CUI is constantly evolving and expanding AND is (in) each one of us. As we expand, grow, and become more aware we are like individual rays of sunlight reaching farther and farther into the darkness of eternal space. As we evolve, CUI evolves as CUI is evolving through us. And just as the physical universe is expanding like a big hot air balloon, so is our consciousness, and the wheels spin faster the bigger we get.

Secondly, astrology says that the CUI is mirrored in the current configurations of stars and planets (as well as our own souls). It uses the various constellations and planetary patterns as a guide to the cycles within which this growth and evolution occur. As such, we can see that the months of March, April, and May will continue and increase the speed of evolutionary change for all of us. The major purpose behind this speeding up process is exactly akin to the merry-go-round example – we’re letting go of all the debris; the past, the weaknesses and fears that have been holding us back for many incarnations. We simply can no longer hold onto these old beliefs, relationships, false sources of security, lies, and BS that we have been telling ourselves as the speed and intensity of change demand ever quickening responses to Life’s new demands. It is time to get with it, pick up the pace…. There is no return to the past, waiting for things to slow back down to “normal”, or worse yet, putting a foot out and trying to stop the merry-go-round = OUCH!

What astrology says is that all of this is actually GOOD for us and is going to help us, each other, and the whole planet survive, thrive, and prosper in the future decades to come, like pruning a tree, cleaning out the garage, or losing a few pounds helps make for a better future. This spring cleaning is a time to clean out our psychic and emotional/relationship lives as well as physical/financial. The pressure is going to squeeze us like a deep sea sponge and then we’re all going to get dipped is some sweet, clean, fresh, spring water and soak it all up.

So let’s get more specific. The Mars/Chiron opposition squaring the Moon’s nodes through these months (peaking once on March 22-23 and again on May 1-2) symbolizes a time period wherein we need to face some of our darkest fears so as to release the pride, the cunning, and the smarty within us enough to open up and listen to a greater wisdom, a greater truth, and a bigger reality than the little box we have falsely imagined we could master in our lifetime. This is a great period of humbling that is designed by the CUI to help us become aware of even greater forces that work both within the world and deep down within ourselves.

What will this look like? Through the beginning in March there will be a number of new, radical, revelations/information set loose upon us that will open our eyes to much that has been hidden for eons of time, politically, economically, and internally. It is a time of great revelation, when “shock and awe” will pull back the veils of our sleepy selves and awaken us to not only the need to ACT but to new, latent capacities within that will increase our own personal power to change our lives for the better. The only losers here will be those who don’t “Seize the Day” and think it better to “duck and cove,r” as they will get left behind in the dust.

Come April, Pluto will station and go retrograde about the same time as Mars turns and goes direct (the 10/13 respectively). This will be a time of tearing down and tearing out that (and those) that have held us back/down for too long. The walls of Jericho will be coming down in the form of leaders, false figureheads and officials, institutions and individuals resisting the new world. We have already seen some banking and governmental shakeups and these will continue and increase. The global economy will be squeezed like a sponge (despite what we are being told), sending the middle class rapidly either up or down, for this is a time of extremes, designed by the CUI to awaken us to the results of our past actions either conscious or done in our “sleep”.

May continues the excitement, with the solar eclipse occurring on the 20^th right on the cusp of Taurus/Gemini. In the midst of all the chaos, confusion, and delirium that will be occurring through these months the opportunities to be seized will be numerous. This is also a time when great new heroes and heroines arise from obscurity to show new pathways toward freedom (and that could be YOU!). The grand trine of Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto that occurs through much of these three months reflects the possibility of forging new sources of income, security, and personal power. The breaking up of the old is making way for the new, original and creative impulses to grow and ripen not only in the socio-cultural revolution that is upon us but within our own hearts, souls, and minds.

For the bottom line of this change is the rebalancing of the masculine/feminine polarity which will involve a restructuring of our values both personally and collectively. The feminine has been repressed and dominated by the masculine for far too long. It is time to value BEING as much as DOING, RELAXING as much as PUSHING, LISTENING as much as CONVINCING, FEELING as much as THINKING/ACTING, and UNITING as much as SEPERATING. We will be seeing the cracks in the old structures based on outmoded thought forms that exclude rather than include, dominate rather than support, and judge rather than love. It is a time period of coming into clarity about just who we are and what kind of world we want to create.

I encourage you not to get fooled by the flurry of media crazed, social networking, and corporate/governmental driven selling of “cures,” be they pharmaceutical, fashionable, and/or superficial, but to make fundamental changes in the lifestyle you are living. The more simple, (and simple can be elegant let us not forget!), natural, and non-evasive we can live, the longer we may all survive and prosper. The coming together of individuals into groups of like-minded souls will serve to strengthen our individual resolve, and soothe the perhaps sore muscles from creating this global change.

Lastly, let’s not forget that the closer you get to the center of the merry-go-round the less the pressure, speed, and force tend to throw you off balance. This is also a time to center ourselves in our creative spiritual potential and throw off limiting core beliefs such as that we need such and such,or so and so to give us this or provide us with that. As we take more and more responsibility for our feelings of joy, sadness, anger, or grief, we will grow less dependent on others, partners, bosses, government agencies, religious institutions, and global corporations to serve up fulfillment, and falsely pretend to “make us happy”. May you forever inch your way closer and closer to center of the wheel, the core of your being, and the source of all creation through not only the spring, but the summer, fall and winter of 2012.

The month of March will be a lot easier for you if you just pretend that you have boarded the high speed bullet train that gets you to your destination at hundreds of miles per hour (whether you are late or not!). This is a month where our nervous systems are undergoing a great cosmic cleanse. It is an opportunity to rid ourselves of all the shaky, old, outworn mental patterns that are no longer serving us. Beyond that, we will have an opportunity to purge immature emotional patterns lingering from lifetimes gone by that are preventing us from fully realizing our potential.

By the time you read this, the planet Mercury will have entered Aries and joined with its higher octave, Uranus. It will continue on to 7 degrees and station there on the 12^th, and go retrograde (backward apparent motion) all the way back into Pisces by the 23^rd, basically joining with Uranus for more than 3 weeks. What happens when you put the joker/trickster in the same room with extraterrestrial intelligence and tell them to work up a new plan of action to free the human race from bondage (by tomorrow)?   You get radical honesty, instant karma, long hidden secrets suddenly exposed, brilliant new ideas that demand sudden adjustments to initiate, and the list goes on and on.

On a socio/political level, this is a highly unstable time in the marketplace and the oval office (as well as globally). The revolving doors of power will be turning quickly to remove and replace the old guard. Instability breeds insecurity which may lead to some hasty reactions attempting to stem/stop the change though that is just what we need. It is just such resistance to change in the past that is the causal factor creating these sudden upheavals in our social institutions.

On a personal level, this is a month of great emancipation, awakening, and sudden realization. The best approach is to welcome the change, embrace the new, and liberate yourself from past, self-imposed and “socially correct” conformist behavior. The more you trust yourself, the more you can trust LIFE and the world to support your crazy new vision that you really think could actually work! Now is the time to go for it! Upset the applecart, blow your mind, and boldly envision a new reality without all the fear that held you back in the past. BREAK FREE and be YOUR OWN PERSON.

The external situation may just bring you to the point of realizing that there really is nothing left to lose anyway – it’s all going bye bye! If you can’t count on your employer, the government, the church, the family, the partner, then you better just count on (trust) yourself! This is not to say that you go off half-cocked, not listening, and ignore any constructive advice that may be offered (one possible temptation under these circumstances). For the collective undercurrent is actually to reconstruct new lives, new social norms, new personal realities that grow out of a heart felt compassion and unity, not only for our fellow folks but all the sentient beings, flora, and Gaia herself.

All through this month Mars and Chiron oppose each other while squaring the Moon’s nodal axis. This further reflects the need to act in accordance with our pure, spiritual intention of healing the past wounds that have resulted from aggressive self-assertion at the expense of the young, the innocent, the soft, and the passive. Let’s not forget we are birthing new Selves as well as new societies, and we best begin in our own backyard. Part of birthing this new reality is finding our “bigness”, our generosity, kindness, compassion, and understanding of other’s pain. The willingness (and opportunity) to at times sacrifice our comfort, our need to be right, our need to be safe, even our need to be loved, for something more, something bigger than us or our little lives is knocking on our door this month.

This is not an ordinary month, and it is best not to approach these days in the same old way, with the same old attitude, expecting the same old results. That would be akin to missing that bullet train and taking a good long walk to that far distant destination we call “Home”. We are birthing nothing less than a new home for ourselves, our children, and our planet’s future. Later in the month as the Sun moves into Aries, the call to action will grow even louder. It will be time to act decisively by learning to discern and discriminate between deadening old habitual responses versus making new, risky, big changes.

The 18-24^th could bring the 4^th of July fireworks a bit early this year! The New Moon on the 22^nd is sandwiched between the Mercury/Uranus conjunction, indicating the release of highly charged emotions in a burst of new ideas that may translate into action perhaps prematurely. This would be a good month to cut down on the coffee/sugar intake to help ease that “fight or flight” response to external pressure. Anything to assist you in making (and staying) cool, calm decisions, like exercise, nature activities, and artistic expression will help soothe an otherwise strained nervous system. The key will be to find positive outlets for the massive amount of electrical current flowing through you so you don’t light up like a light bulb and fry your brain!

All in all, for those who like change, diversity, excitement, and fast paced action this will be a month to relish! For those already feeling pushed to the limit, hard pressed just trying to survive, or lacking the funds, energy, or time this will be month where it is necessary to make radical decisions to change your existing reality. Simplifying down to the essential will reduce the pressure to maintain too many hands in too many pies, and allow more energy to push forward into new horizons, jobs, lifestyles, and relationships. We often don’t need all that we think we do, and these times will best be spent free of cares and worries from holding onto what often hasn’t really made us happy anyway. May you board that train with the least amount of cumbersome luggage and lightly arrive home in the wink of an eye as “the essential YOU.”

Powerful days of change this month will be 2, 3, 7/8, 12/13, 15, 18-24, 29/30.

For over a decade now I have been working as an intuitive healer through various modalities of Massage Therapy/energy work and Astrological counseling and teaching.  This has been my school, the path of healing on a deep soul and heart level.  Reaching in to touch where inside ourselves we find our truth; who we essentially are.  Breaking through the boundaries, the definitions, the conditioning's, the limitations of life, into the spaces where healing can happen, where we can remember who we are.  In these moments of connection we feel our wholeness; our oneness, and our gift of existence: to become in harmony with UNITY, to experience this wholeness of Being, and freedom from the illusion of separateness ~ to unite with the whole of ourselves and meet everything else from this place. It was during a shamanic journey upon the precipice of Machu Pichu that I discovered my deep connection and destiny with astrology.  Through that awakening experience I passionately began my studies.  From the start I desired to learn the deepest soul perspective of astrology I could find; sensing the depth of the wisdom within astrology and the inherent quality of being able to reveal the deep heart and soul of a person.

I was first led to Kerala, India where I studied with Vedic Astrologer and author, Komilla Sutton.  I then met up again with her in England for an intensive on Rahu and Ketu; the Dragons head and tail- The North and South Nodes of the Moon. In a nut shell they are symbolically a piece of the puzzle containing answers to the questions- “where am I coming from” and “what is my purpose in this life”, or in other words: “what has been my soul’s focus and what is my soul’s evolutionary intention in this life”.

What I learned there was only a taste of what was coming next.  I soon discovered two of my greatest astrology and Life teachers:  Jeffery Wolf Green and Steven Forrest; two of the great pioneers of Evolutionary Astrology.  I began apprenticing under them both simultaneously for the next many years.  I have also been fortunate to learn directly from the two incredible astrologers Maurice Fernandez and Tom Lescher!

In addition to personal and relationship readings, I am particularly excited to help our children lead full, wholesome, spiritual lives.  It is an invaluable gift to know your child’s birth chart! Our children are one of life’s greatest teacher’s providing us with the opportunity of learning the most essential lesson of how to surrender and to let go. They are a pure example of the necessity to give our creative manifestations over to a life of their own. They come through us, or are attracted to us, and so their birth chart is not only an expression of their lives but also of the continuation of our own.  As we are bound to the bond of a lifetime together we not only see what shall color their path; where their enlightenment and struggles shall be found, but also where we through them optimally will find greater awareness and growth.   Through this connection and that within all our relationships we receive a glimpse into our own path’s unfolding dynamics.

Like the seeds of the tree- the DNA of the whole matrix lives’ within…It is a fascinating thing to view our lineage through the perspective of Astrological Birth Charts; to see the repeating themes and signatures; the karmic patterns past down from one generation to the next, the group Soul.  .
